aTouch won funding for aWall Multi Project Coordination research project

In the rapidly growing agile multi-project management (MPM) market, conceptual scaling frameworks such as SAFe have established themselves as the standard. However, the appropriate digital tools are still missing.

During the customer presentations with our current product “aWall”, we noticed a great demand for such solutions. We want to close this gap in the market with our aWall Multi-Project-Coordination-Board (aWall MPC).

In the agile MPM, coordination meetings with more than 25 participants take place on a weekly basis. At the moment, large physical pin boards are typically used, on which all projects are shown. The creation and updating of these boards is very time-consuming, laborious and error-prone. The lack of clarity makes the decision-making process difficult. Distributed work is hardly possible with these physical boards.

In this project we want to develop our current product aWall into a digital multi-project coordination and make physical boards superfluous. Together with our research partner IMVS, we are developing new visualization and interaction concepts to reduce and manage the great complexity in multi-projects based on the most modern, extra-large multi-touch displays.

The aWall MPC detects delays and their effects in projects by means of intelligent analysis. An interactive simulation of planning adjustments allows impact assessments in real time and helps the customer to make well-founded decisions. AWall MPC thus increases the efficiency of multi-project management for the entire company. With the planned expansion of our aWall system for multi-project management, aTouch Dynamics can expand its product range for intelligent agile project management tools to company-wide solutions and thereby address the agile project management market much better. Based on our estimates, we assume an increase in sales of more than 50% in the next 3 years.
